The practice of windsurfing is the one that boasts a ten-year tradition in the waters of the Conero especially because there are ideal conditions and a considerable number of windy days per year such as to justify the large number of enthusiasts for generations now.
The Portonovo spot is the one in which the Conerostyle School works with winds from E, SE and S. The wind conditions are generally medium/light in the morning and increase in intensity in the afternoon with the arrival of the legendary “Ostro” in the late afternoon, a constant thermal wind that reaches an average intensity of 25/30 knots. The afternoon sirocco offers the possibility of sailing with sails from 6.3 to 5.3 and then moving on to very small sails (4.7-4.2) when the Ostro begins to descend from the mountain, guaranteeing the possibility of sailing until late at night in flat water conditions, ideal for freestyle discipline.
Having said that, it is not difficult to imagine how windsurfing has been the primary activity of the Conerostyle School for years now with internationally qualified VDWS instructors and proven courses for all levels and all ages.

COURSES
The teaching techniques developed by the VDWS allow you to progress quickly to such a level that already after the first hours of the course you can already have fun alone with the wind and windsurfing. The material is specifically designed for learning, making it enjoyable and without excessive effort.
Participation in the courses automatically includes membership and insurance coverage, the use of the board and the complete RIG, wetsuit, life jacket, harness. We have equipment specially designed for children (minimum 5 years old).
Courses for WINDSURFING activities are available at Conerostyle’s operational offices along the coast.
At the Portonovo headquarters, private lockers are available where you can leave backpacks and personal belongings.

The Conerostyle School has the best materials available on the market for the rental and testing of new materials. We are equipped with a wide variety of material according to different marine weather conditions and your level. We have ultra-light RIGs and ready-to-use boards with sizes ranging from small 80 liter freestylewave to easier 240 liter boards. Our structure also provides customers with wetsuits, jackets, harnesses, helmets and accessories of all kinds to go out in all weather conditions.
The rental of equipment for beginners is the same as the one you used during the course so that you immediately have a feeling when you find yourself at sea alone practicing what you have learned in the lessons.
To ensure success in all your outings, you can, during the rental, change board and sail, so that you always have the right material for every situation.
In order to rent, it is necessary to register with the Conerostyle School a.s.d. where insurance coverage and registration with the C.O.N.I are provided

Conerostyle School also provides equipment storage service. If you are an enthusiast and you always carry your equipment with you, you can store it with us in a convenient box.
In fact, you will find just 20 meters away the spot with flat water to learn your first glides, dart in slalom or try new freestyle maneuvers. You’ll thus avoid loading your wet gear back into the car and finding it ready for the next day.
Also included in our service is insurance on the safekeeping of the equipment at night.
Annual storage in individual or shared boxes with another surfer is also provided so that you do not always have to load the equipment in your car and can thus reach the beach by public transportation or scooter.
The storage activity for all WINDSURFING equipment is available at the Conerostyle offices operating on the coast.
